Activate Your Instructor Account
Set up your CEU Events account after a provider adds you, then learn what your account lets you do.
🎓 This article is for instructors.
Welcome to CEU Events! After a provider adds you to their program, you'll receive an email invitation to activate your instructor account. Once activated, you'll have access to schedule and manage events, view the courses available to you, manage your contact lists, and access reports for the events you've presented. This article walks you through the activation process and gives you an overview of what your account lets you do.
Before you begin
- A provider must have added you to their program. If you haven't received an activation email and you're expecting one, check your spam folder first, then reach out to the provider who's adding you.
- Have access to the email address the provider used to invite you.
How to activate your instructor account
- Check your inbox for an email from CEU Events with a link to complete your instructor registration.
- Click the activation link in the email.
- Complete the registration form with your contact information and create a password.
- Submit the form to finalize your account.
- Sign in to www.ceuevents.com using your new credentials to confirm everything is working.
⚠️ Important: The activation link in the email is unique to you. Don't forward it or share it with anyone — they'd be able to activate the account using your assigned email.
What you can do with your instructor account
Once your account is active, you can use it to:
- Schedule and manage your events for the courses your provider has given you access to.
- See the providers you're linked with. Instructors can be associated with one or more providers. Your account shows all the programs you're a part of.
- Access your courses. You'll see only the courses your provider has given you access to teach.
- Add and manage your contact lists of attendees, locations, and contacts you regularly work with.
- View your reports to track your events and attendance. See Download the Event Data (Instructors) for exporting your event data.
- Manage your public profile page. Activate a public Instructor Profile Page so attendees can find your bio, courses, and upcoming events. See Enable Your Instructor Profile Page.
Best practices
- Activate promptly. Complete the activation as soon as you receive the email so you don't miss the window — activation links typically expire after a set period.
- Use a strong password. Your instructor account contains attendee data and event details. Treat it like any other professional account.
- Keep your contact information current. Your name, email, and other details power things like attendance reporting and certificate generation. Update them in your profile right away if anything changes.
- Set up your Instructor Profile Page early. A complete profile (with bio) helps build credibility with attendees and is required by some recognition organizations for credit reporting. See Enable Your Instructor Profile Page.
Troubleshooting
- You haven't received an activation email. Check your spam/junk folder. If it's not there, contact the provider who added you and ask them to resend the invitation or confirm they used the correct email address.
- The activation link doesn't work or says it expired. Activation links have a limited window. Contact CEU Events support to request a fresh invitation.
- You can't remember which email address the provider used. Ask the provider directly — they'll have your invitation on file. Activation emails are tied to a specific email address and can't be redirected.
- You've activated but can't see any courses or events. Your provider may not have assigned you territories or courses yet. Reach out to them to confirm your setup is complete.
- Still having trouble? Contact CEU Events support and we'll help you get set up.
