Activating Your Location Account
How to activate a new CEU Events Location account after your Places admin adds your Location — including the activation email, registration form, and setting up your login credentials.
📍 This article is for Locations.
When your Places admin adds your Location to their CEU Events Places account, an activation email is sent to you so you can complete your registration and set up your login credentials. This article walks you through that activation process. Until you activate, your Location can't receive event requests from approved providers — so completing this step promptly gets your Location live.
Before you begin
- You need the activation email sent to you by CEU Events when your Places admin added your Location. The email is sent to the address your Places admin entered when adding the Location.
- If you can't find the email, check your spam or junk folder before anything else. If it's not there, see the troubleshooting section below.
- Set aside a few minutes to complete the form thoroughly. A complete profile gives providers and attendees a better sense of your Location, which helps you receive the right kinds of event requests.
How to activate your Location account
- Open the activation email from CEU Events.
- Click the activation link in the email. This opens the registration form in your browser.
- Complete the registration form with the requested information — your name, contact details, and any other Location manager information.
- Set up your login credentials, including the email address and password you'll use to sign in to CEU Events going forward.
- Save to complete your registration.
Once you've saved, your Location is active and ready to receive event requests from providers your Places admin has approved.
💡 Tip: Use a strong, unique password — this account gives you access to manage your Location's events, attendees, and incoming requests. Store your credentials somewhere safe so you don't lose access.
What happens next
- Your Location is live. Approved providers can now see your Location in their event scheduling tools and submit event requests.
- You'll receive requests as they come in. When a provider submits a request for an event at your Location, you'll be notified so you can review, accept, or decline. See Managing Requests for Places Accounts.
- You can sign in anytime at www.ceuevents.com using the credentials you just set up.

Best practices
- Activate as soon as you receive the email. Your Location can't receive event requests until activation is complete, so any delay holds up your Places admin's rollout plan.
- Complete the form thoroughly. Providers and attendees see your Location's information when browsing or considering a request — the more complete and accurate it is, the better the fit on incoming requests.
- Use a strong, unique password. You're managing event requests, attendee data, and your Location's calendar, so account security matters.
- Confirm your contact email is one you actually monitor. Event request notifications go to the address you set up — make sure it's an inbox you check regularly.
- Coordinate with your Places admin. Let them know once you've completed activation so they can move forward with the rest of their rollout (approving providers, communicating to teams, etc.).
Troubleshooting
- You didn't receive the activation email. First check your spam, junk, or promotional folders. Some corporate email systems delay or filter automated messages. If you still can't find it, confirm with your Places admin that they used the correct email address when adding your Location — they may need to update it or resend the invite. If neither resolves it, contact CEU Events support.
- The activation link doesn't work or has expired. Reach out to your Places admin to have them resend the invite, or contact CEU Events support.
- You already have a CEU Events account with this email address. If you've previously created an account (for example, as an attendee) use a different email address to activate your Location account, or contact CEU Events support for help.
- Your password doesn't meet the requirements. Most accounts require a mix of uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and a minimum length. Adjust your password to meet the on-screen requirements and try again.
- Still having trouble? Contact CEU Events support and we'll help.
