Add an Instructor
Invite new presenters to your CEU Events account and manage their access to courses and territories.
👤 This article is for providers. Only provider accounts can add or remove instructors.
Adding instructors to your CEU Events account lets you expand your pool of presenters and offer a wider range of continuing education sessions. When you add an instructor, you can define which courses they have access to teach and assign the territories where they should be discoverable for event requests. This article walks you through inviting a new instructor, configuring their access, and managing their registration status.
Before you begin
- You must be logged in with a provider account that has permission to manage instructors.
- Have the instructor's first name, last name, and email address ready.
- Decide which courses you want the instructor to be able to teach.
- Identify the territories where you want the instructor to be discoverable for requests.
How to add an instructor
- Log in to www.ceuevents.com using your provider account.
- Navigate to the Instructors menu.
- Click the +Instructor button.
- Enter the instructor's first name, last name, and email address.
- Select the courses you want the instructor to be able to access.
- Assign the territories where the instructor will be available for requests.
- Click Submit to save the changes.
What happens next
What the instructor receives depends on whether they already have a CEU Events account.
If the instructor is new to CEU Events: They will receive an email containing a link to complete their registration. Once they finish registering, their status will update to Active under the Instructors menu.
If the instructor already has a CEU Events account: They will receive an email asking them to sign in to their existing account. From there, they should click Course Providers, locate your company name in the list of providers that invited them, and click Activate in that row. Their status will then update to Active under your Instructors menu.
Managing pending invitations
From the Instructors menu, you have a few options for managing invitations that haven't been completed yet:
- Email — Resend the registration email to the instructor.
- Edit — Update the instructor's information if anything was entered incorrectly.
- X — Delete the invitation entirely if it was sent in error or is no longer needed.
⚠️ Important: Please emphasize to your presenters the importance of completing their account activation promptly so they can begin accepting course requests without delay.
💡 Tip: If an instructor says they didn't receive the invitation email, ask them to check their spam or junk folder before resending.
Troubleshooting
- The instructor didn't receive the email. Use the Email button on their row to resend it, and have them check spam/junk folders.
- The instructor's status is still pending. They haven't completed registration or activation yet. Follow up directly or resend the invitation.
- You entered the wrong email address. Click X to delete the invitation, then start over with the +Instructor button.
