Architectural Institute of British Columbia (AIBC) Members
How CEU Events automatically reports your AIBC credits — including the 14-day reporting deadline, how to set up your profile, and what to know about self-reporting.
🧑🎓 This article is for Attendees who are AIBC members.
If you're a member of the Architectural Institute of British Columbia (AIBC), CEU Events automatically reports your continuing education credits to AIBC when you attend a credit-eligible event — provided your AIBC number is in your profile. This article explains how reporting works, how to set up your account, and where to find AIBC-approved events.
How CEU Events handles AIBC credits
AIBC requires providers to report attendance directly within 14 days of the event. The CEU Events system reports credit to AIBC within one business day when:
- Your AIBC number is on file in your CEU Events profile.
- You're marked as 'Attended' at an AIBC-approved event.
Both conditions need to be met for automatic reporting. If your AIBC number isn't on file at the time you're marked attended, the credit won't be reported automatically.
How to set up automatic AIBC reporting
- As an attendee, sign in to your CEU Events account at www.ceuevents.com.
- Go to your profile and select Architect.
- Choose Country: Canada and State: British Columbia.
- Click the + next to Architectural Institute of British Columbia.
- Enter your AIBC number.
- Scroll down and click Update to save.
From now on, when you attend any AIBC-approved event on CEU Events and are marked as attended, your credits will be reported to AIBC automatically — well within the 14-day deadline. For step-by-step guidance, see Add or Update Your Memberships and License Numbers.
Self-reporting and certificates
You can use the Certificate of Completion that CEU Events generates after each event for submission to licensing boards or other organizations as needed.
⚠️ Important: Courses already approved by AIBC cannot be self-reported to AIBC. If a course is on the AIBC-approved list, the provider must report attendance — that's what CEU Events does automatically for AIBC-approved events on the platform.

Best practices
- Enter your AIBC number before your first event. Credits are reported automatically only when your number is on file at the time you're marked attended.
- Keep your profile current. If your AIBC membership status or number changes, refresh your CEU Events profile so reporting continues smoothly.
- Verify approval before registering. Confirm a course is AIBC-approved by checking the course details or the AIBC-approved event list linked above.
Troubleshooting
- Your credits aren't showing up in your AIBC record. Allow up to one business day after the event. If credits don't appear after that, confirm your AIBC number is correctly entered in your CEU Events profile and that you were marked as 'Attended.' If both are correct, contact CEU Events support.
- You attended an event before adding your AIBC number. Update your profile, then contact CEU Events support — we can help with previously attended events.
- You attended an event but it wasn't AIBC-approved. Not every course on CEU Events is AIBC-approved. Check the course details on the registration page or the list of AIBC-approved events before registering.
- You can't find the AIBC option in your profile. Make sure you've selected Architect as your role first, then Country: Canada and State: British Columbia — the AIBC option appears only with the correct country and region selected.
