Getting Started as an Attendee
Welcome to CEU Events — a quick orientation to help you find courses, attend events, earn credits, and manage your continuing education with ease.
🧑🎓 This article is for attendees.
CEU Events helps you find continuing education courses approved by AIA, IDCEC, USGBC, CAB, AIBC, and over 100 other organizations — and handles the credit reporting paperwork for you. This article walks you through the full attendee experience: creating your free account, finding courses, viewing your events, earning credit, and tracking your CE journey.
Why CEU Events for attendees
- Find courses that meet your credit requirements. Browse the full catalog filtered by the organizations and license types you actually need.
- Earn credits automatically. With your membership numbers on file, credits report to applicable organizations by the end of the next business day — no paperwork on your end.
- Track everything in one place. Your Events menu shows every course you've attended, every event you've registered for, and every certificate you've earned.
- Privacy-first. No promotional emails. Your data stays yours.
- Audit-ready. All your attendance, certificates, and credit history is verifiable through your account — perfect for renewal cycles.
Step 1: Create your free attendee account
Creating an account takes about 30 seconds, and your CE record starts building automatically from your first event onward.
See Register and Create Your Free Attendee Account for the full walkthrough.
Step 2: Set up your profile and memberships
Add your AIA membership number, AIBC number, CAB license, GBCI affiliation, or any other organization where you're earning credits. Once these are on file, CEU Events reports credits automatically to organizations that support automatic reporting.
See Add or Update Your Memberships and License Numbers.
Step 3: Find courses and events
Browse the full catalog to find live events, webinars, and on-demand courses that match your credit requirements:
- All courses and events — see Browse Courses and Upcoming Events on CEU Events
- On-demand courses you can complete at your own pace — see On-Demand CEU Courses
Step 4: View all your courses and events in one place
Once you're signed in to your account, the Events menu is your home base. It shows everything in one view:
- Upcoming events you've registered for
- Past events you've attended (with certificate download buttons)
- On-demand courses you're working through
- Canceled events (clearly labeled)
To get there: sign in to www.ceuevents.com and click the Events menu in the top navigation.
When preparing for a license renewal or audit, use the filters to narrow by date or membership.
Step 5: Earn credit at events
At the end of every CEU Events seminar, the instructor will display an Event Code. Scan the QR code on the Attendance Recording Slide, or visit www.ceuevents.com/attendance and enter the code manually. This records your attendance and unlocks your certificate.
See Record Your Attendance with the Event Code and What Is the Event Code? for the full picture.
Step 6: Download certificates and track credits
After each event, your Certificate of Completion is available from your Events menu — instantly for live events once the instructor marks you Attended, and 2 hours after quiz completion for on-demand courses. Credits report automatically to applicable organizations (AIA, AIBC, etc.) by the end of the next business day. For self-reporting organizations, use your certificate to submit credit yourself.

Best practices
- Add your membership numbers before your first event. Credits report automatically only when your numbers are on file at the time you're marked attended.
- Use the Events menu as your dashboard. Everything is there — upcoming registrations, past attendance, certificates, on-demand progress.
- Download certificates promptly. Even though they're always available in your account, downloading right away gives you an offline backup.
- Browse by approved organization. When you're working on a specific license renewal, filter the course catalog by that organization so you only see relevant courses.
