Manage Instructor Territories
Assign or remove territories for each instructor to control where they're discoverable for event requests.
👤 This article is for providers. Only provider accounts can manage instructor territories.
Territories control which of your instructors are discoverable to website visitors browsing your courses when they want to request an event. By assigning territories to an instructor, you make them visible — and requestable — to anyone looking for a presenter in those areas. You can update an instructor's territories at any time, adding new ones as their availability changes or removing them as needed. This article walks you through how to manage territories for each instructor, and how to configure your account if you'd prefer all requests to come directly to you.
Before you begin
- You must be logged in with a provider account that has permission to manage instructors.
- The instructor must already be added to your account. See Add an Instructor.
- Have a clear understanding of which territories each instructor should cover.
How territories work
When a website visitor wants to request an event, they can browse your courses and choose from instructors who are available in their specific territory
- An instructor with multiple territories can be requested by visitors in any of those areas.
- Territories can be added or removed at any time — changes take effect immediately.
How to assign or remove territories for an instructor
- Log in to www.ceuevents.com using your provider account credentials.
- Navigate to the Instructors menu.
- Locate the instructor whose territories you want to update, and click the Edit button.
- Under the Territories section, select or deselect territories as needed.

- Click Submit to save the changes.
Routing all requests directly to you
If you'd prefer to receive all event requests yourself — and then assign instructors after the requests come in — you can configure your account to route everything through you:
- Uncheck all territories for every instructor in your account. This removes them from the requestable list under your courses.
- Select all territories under your own record on the instructor list. (Your provider account appears in the instructor list as well.) This makes you the only requestable contact across every territory you cover.
With this setup, all incoming requests come to you, and you can manually assign them to the appropriate instructor on your team.
💡 Tip: This setup is useful if your instructors prefer not to be contacted directly, or if you want to centralize scheduling and instructor assignment in one place.
What happens next
Once you submit your changes, the instructor's territory assignments are updated immediately. Your company profile page reflects the new configuration right away — visitors will see the instructor as requestable in any newly added territories, and they'll no longer appear in any removed ones.
Troubleshooting
- The instructor isn't appearing on your course pages after assigning territories. Confirm the instructor's status is Active. Pending or inactive instructors won't appear as requestable regardless of territory assignment. See Add an Instructor for activation guidance.
- An incoming request needs to be reassigned to a different instructor. Life happens — maternity leave, vacations, illness, and schedule conflicts can all affect an instructor's availability. When a request comes in for an instructor who can't take it, you can reassign the request to another instructor on your team at any time. See Managing Requests (Providers) for the reassignment workflow.
