👤 This article is for providers. Only provider accounts can access this report.
The On Demand Totals by Course report shows attendee participation with your on-demand courses, including how many attendees viewed each course and how many completed the quiz. Data is displayed by month, letting you track engagement trends over time. Use it to evaluate which on-demand courses are driving the most engagement, identify courses where attendees view but don't complete the quiz, and inform decisions about future on-demand content investments.

What the report shows
The report displays monthly attendee participation for each on-demand course in your account. For each course, you'll see:
- Total views and quiz completions for the selected year.
- Month-by-month breakdowns so you can spot trends over time.
- Engagement patterns across your on-demand library.
Filters
This report supports the following filters:
- Type — Filter the data by attendee action:
- All — Shows all on-demand interactions.
- Viewed — Shows only attendees who viewed the course.
- Quiz Taken — Shows only attendees who completed the quiz.
- Year — A specific calendar year.
📝 Note: Unlike most other reports, the Type filter on this report refers to attendee engagement (Viewed or Quiz Taken).
Best practices for using this report
- Compare Viewed vs. Quiz Taken. A large gap between views and quiz completions may indicate the quiz is too long, too difficult, or that attendees don't realize completing it is required for CEU credit. Use this signal to investigate course content or design.
- Identify your most-watched courses. High-performing on-demand courses are good candidates for additional promotion, expansion into related topics, or content refresh investment.
- Identify underperformers. Courses with consistently low views or completions over multiple months may need updated content, repromotion, or retirement.
💡 Tip: Quiz completion is often what determines whether an attendee earns CEU credit for an on-demand course. A consistently low quiz completion rate is worth investigating — it directly affects how many attendees benefit from the course.
Troubleshooting
- The report shows no data. Confirm at least one on-demand course exists in your account and that the selected year has at least one attendee interaction. If you don't have any on-demand courses yet, contact CEU Events support to get one set up.
