Promote Your Continuing Education Program

Reach your audience using the marketing surfaces built into CEU Events — your company profile page, course detail pages, event invitation pages, instructor profile pages, and Boosted Events.

👤 This article is for providers. Only provider accounts can configure the marketing tools described in this article.

CEU Events was designed with smart marketing in mind. As a provider, you have several built-in tools your marketing team can use to promote your continuing education program: your Company Profile Page, individual Course Detail Pages, Event Invitation Pages, Instructor Profile Pages, and Boosted Events. This article walks through each tool and how to use it to reach your target audience.

📝 Note: CEU Events does not send unsolicited promotional emails to attendees on your behalf. Our approach is to build tools that empower everyone involved — providers, instructors, and attendees — so each party can drive engagement on their own terms through channels they control. The tools described in this article are how that works in practice.

Before you begin

To get the most out of these marketing tools, make sure the following are in place:

Make events public for maximum exposure

The Public Event toggle determines whether an event is visible on CEU Events' public-facing surfaces. When set to Yes, the event details appear immediately on:

  • The CEU Events homepage
  • The upcoming events page
  • Your Company Profile Page
  • The Profile Page of each assigned instructor
  • The Course Detail Page for the course being presented
  • The pages of every recognition organization that has accepted the course

Setting an event to public is the foundation for nearly every marketing tool described below — most of these surfaces only display events that have been marked as public. For events with restricted attendance (such as private, firm-specific sessions), leave the toggle set to No and share the Event Invitation Page URL directly with the intended attendees.

💡 Tip: When you want maximum exposure for an event — a launch, a flagship webinar, a new course, or a special session — mark it as public early. The event will appear on all relevant pages immediately, giving organic registrations time to build before you consider paid promotion through Boosted Events.

Marketing tools at a glance

CEU Events provides five built-in tools you can use to promote your program:

  • Company Profile Page — a public hub for your entire program (recommended for broad visibility).
  • Course Detail Page — a public page for each individual course (recommended for course-specific marketing).
  • Event Invitation Page — a public page for each scheduled event (recommended for filling specific events).
  • Instructor Profile Page — a public page for each instructor (recommended for ongoing engagement through email signatures).
  • Boosted Events — performance-based amplification for public webinar events (recommended when driving registrations for a high-priority webinar).

The first four are free public-facing pages with URLs you can link from anywhere — your website, marketing campaigns, social media, or email signatures. Boosted Events is a paid promotion service that increases your event's visibility across the CEU Events platform.

Company Profile Page

Your Company Profile Page is the best surface for promoting your entire program. It's dynamic and updates in real time based on your account settings, course approvals, scheduled events, and instructor roster.

How to use it:

  • Make sure your company bio is up to date and your Company Profile Page is enabled. See Enable the Company Profile Page.
  • Link your Company Profile Page from your website — for example, a "Continuing Education" link in your main navigation can point directly to your Company Profile URL.
  • Promote the URL across your marketing channels: email signatures, newsletters, social media, sales decks, and trade show materials.
  • Use the official CEU Events logo for a branded Request CEU Event button on your website. The logo is available for download in the Enable the Company Profile Page article.
Course Detail Page

Each enabled course in your account has its own public-facing Course Detail Page. The page surfaces everything an interested visitor needs to evaluate the course:

  • Course title, description, and learning objectives
  • Course length
  • Provider company name and logo
  • Upcoming public events for that course
  • A Request CEU Event button (where enabled)
  • A Take On Demand CEU Course button (where applicable)
  • Approvals and acceptance based on recognition organizations and state licensing requirements (where applicable)
How to find a Course Detail Page URL

You can find the URL in two ways:

  1. From your Company Profile Page — click View CEU Course for the course you want, then copy the URL from your browser's address bar.
  2. From your provider account — sign in, click Courses, then click the course to open the detail page and copy the URL.

📝 Note: Editing a course title may change the Course Detail Page URL. If you've shared the URL externally, remember to update those links after editing the course title.

Event Invitation Page

The best way to promote an individual event is to share its dedicated Event Invitation Page URL. Attendees who register through this page receive all event details and location information automatically. Instructors can use the same registration data for attendance recording, and CEU Events handles reporting to over 70 state and association organizations on their behalf.

Event Invitation Page URLs work for both public and private events. For public events, the URL complements the other marketing surfaces. For private events, the URL is the primary way to invite restricted audiences without exposing the event on public-facing pages.

To get the URL for a specific event, see Access an Event Invitation Page URL (article forthcoming).

💡 Tip: Use Event Invitation Pages when you're driving registration for a specific upcoming event — they're sharper marketing tools than the broader Company Profile Page for filling individual sessions.

Instructor Profile Page

The Instructor Profile Page gives each presenter their own public URL where prospective attendees can browse the public events and courses that instructor has access to. This is an especially powerful tool for instructors who communicate with your target audience regularly — adding the URL to their email signature, for example, drives ongoing engagement with every email they send.

For an Instructor Profile Page to work properly:

Boosted Events

Boosted Events is a performance-based promotion service that increases the visibility of your public webinar events across the CEU Events platform. Unlike the marketing surfaces above — which are free public pages you can link to — Boosted Events is a paid service that drives additional registrations through enhanced placement on CEU Events.

Key details:

  • Eligible events: Public webinars on recognized courses, scheduled at least two weeks in advance. The webinar software in use must support at least 100 attendees.
  • Available plans: Starter, Professional, Premium, and Enterprise.
  • Cost: Per registration generated through CEU Events exposure. You're billed only for registrations, never impressions or clicks.
  • Placement: Boosted events are highlighted in red and featured in prominent locations across applicable pages.
  • Tracking: Monitor registrations by channel in real time on your event details page via the Channels graph.
  • No promotional emails: All visibility comes from on-platform exposure — CEU Events does not send promotional emails to attendees on your behalf.
  • Requested by: The main point of contact on your CEU Events account.

For full details and to request a boost for your next public webinar, visit Boosted Events.

💡 Tip: Boosted Events works best alongside the free marketing surfaces. Use your Company Profile and Event Invitation pages for ongoing visibility, then layer in Boosted Events when you're driving registrations for a high-priority webinar.

📝 Note: Boosted Events space is limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis. We recommend securing your event date at least three months in advance to ensure availability.

Best practices
  • Use multiple surfaces together. The Company Profile Page is your widest net for ongoing brand visibility; Course, Event, and Instructor pages are sharper tools for specific calls to action; Boosted Events is the right tool when you need to drive volume for a specific webinar.
  • Mark events as public early. The Public Event toggle is the foundation for organic visibility — flip it on as soon as you're ready for the event to surface across CEU Events' public pages.
  • Make the Company Profile URL visible everywhere. Email signatures, website navigation, business cards, and proposal templates — anywhere prospects might land.
  • Encourage instructors to use their Instructor Profile URL. Email signatures are an underused, ongoing marketing channel that compounds over time.
  • Refresh course descriptions periodically. Course Detail Pages display whatever you've entered for each course — keep the content current so the page reflects your best work.
  • Audit your external links after course title edits. Course Detail Page URLs may change when titles change.
  • Plan Boosted Events early. With a three-month lead time recommended and limited availability, planning ahead protects your most important campaigns.

Troubleshooting

  • An event isn't showing up on your Company Profile Page or Course Detail Page. Confirm the event's Public Event toggle is set to Yes. Private events are not displayed on public-facing surfaces.
  • Your Company Profile Page shows no courses, events, or instructors. Confirm at least one course is Enabled, at least one instructor is Active with territories assigned, and at least one public event is scheduled.
  • The Request CEU Event button isn't appearing on your Course Detail Pages. This usually means no instructors have territories assigned for the relevant area. See Manage Instructor Territories.
  • A Course Detail Page URL is returning a 404 after you edited the course title. The URL likely changed. Visit the Course Detail Page from your account, copy the new URL, and update your external links.
  • You can't find an Event Invitation Page URL. See Access an Event Invitation Page URL (article forthcoming) for the workflow.
  • An instructor's profile page isn't displaying their content. Confirm the instructor has territories assigned, has added a bio, and has enabled their Instructor Profile Page.
  • Your event isn't eligible for Boosted Events. Confirm the event is public, set to webinar, on a recognized course, scheduled at least two weeks out, and your webinar software supports at least 100 attendees.
