Remove Yourself from a Registered Event

Cancel your registration for an upcoming event you can no longer attend.

🧑‍🎓 This article is for attendees.

If your schedule has changed and you can no longer attend an event you registered for, you can remove yourself from the registered attendee list. This keeps your event records accurate and helps the instructor plan their session — especially for in-person events with limited seating or food orders.

📝 Note: You can only remove yourself from events that haven't yet taken place. Once an event has occurred.

Before you begin
  • You must be logged in with your CEU Events attendee account.
  • The event you want to remove yourself from must not have already taken place.
How to remove yourself from a registered event
  1. Sign in to www.ceuevents.com using your attendee account credentials.
  2. Navigate to your Events list, where all of your registered and past events are displayed.
  3. Locate the specific event you want to remove yourself from. Review the event details (date, time, location, course title, and provider) to make sure it's the correct one.
  4. Click Delete next to the event.
  5. Confirm if prompted.

You're now removed from the event's registered attendee list, and the event will no longer appear in your Events list.

What happens after you remove yourself
  • The event is removed from your registered events list.
  • The instructor will see you're no longer on their attendee list.
  • If you change your mind, you can re-register through the same Event Invitation Page URL you originally used. Check your original event invitation email for the link, or reach out to the instructor.
Best practices
  • Remove yourself as early as possible. Instructors often plan based on registered counts — for in-person events with food orders or limited seating, an early removal helps them prepare accurately.
  • Notify the instructor directly for small events. For private or small-group events (typically 8-10 people), a brief courtesy message to the instructor is appreciated.

Troubleshooting

  • You don't see a Delete option on the event. The event may have already taken place.
  • You removed yourself by mistake. Re-register using the Event Invitation Page URL from your original event invitation email, or reach out to the instructor for the link.
