Request a CEU Event at Your Location
Found a course you'd love to bring to your firm, showroom, or association? Request it directly from the course detail page.
🧑🎓 This article is for attendees.
When you attend a CEU event or find a course your colleagues or firm could benefit from, you can request to bring that same course to your location — whether that's your office, your firm, your showroom, or your association chapter. This article walks you through how to submit a request from a course's detail page, and what happens after you do.
Why request a CEU event at your location
Bringing a course to your workplace has real benefits for everyone:
- Continuing education for your whole team. Your colleagues earn credit without having to travel.
- A more relevant learning environment. A course presented at your own location often feels more engaging and tailored than a generic public event.
- Strengthens your firm's CE program. Hosting events demonstrates your firm's commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Builds lasting relationships. A great course at your location can become an ongoing partnership with the provider and their instructors.
How to request a CEU event at your location
- Sign in to www.ceuevents.com with your attendee account.
- Navigate to the course detail page for the course you'd like to bring to your location. You can find course detail pages by clicking the title of any course in your account, or by browsing the public course library.
- Click Request CEU Event.
- Fill in the requested details about your location, preferred timing, and expected attendees.
- Click Submit to send your request.
Your request is sent to the appropriate provider for review.
What happens next
After you submit your request:
- The course provider reviews the request and decides whether to accept.
- If accepted, an instructor approved to present the course is connected with you to coordinate the details — date, format, attendee count, location specifics, and so on.
- You'll be notified of the outcome and next steps.
The actual scheduling, format (in-person, webinar, or hybrid), and any logistics like food orders are coordinated between you, the provider, and the instructor.
Best practices
- Coordinate internally before submitting. Make sure your firm or location is on board with hosting the event. The more details you can share about expected attendance and preferred timing, the smoother the approval process.
- Request well in advance. Providers and instructors need lead time to schedule. Submitting weeks or months ahead increases your chance of approval and gives everyone time to plan.
- Be flexible on dates. Offering a few possible dates rather than insisting on one specific day makes the request easier to accommodate.
- Consider a CEU Events Places account. If your firm, showroom, or association regularly hosts CEU events, signing up as a Place lets you directly manage your external providers and have providers request CEU events at your location. Sign up for a Places account.
Troubleshooting
- You don't see "Request CEU Event" on the course detail page. Not all courses are available for requesting at custom locations. The option only appears for courses where the provider has enabled this feature.
- Your request was denied. Reach out to the provider directly to understand the reason. Common causes include scheduling conflicts, geographic distance from approved instructors, or capacity constraints. You can submit a new request with adjusted details.
- You haven't heard back on a request. Providers typically respond within a few business days. If significantly more time has passed without a response, follow up with the provider directly or contact CEU Events support.
- Still having trouble? Contact CEU Events support and we'll help.
