Update Your Profile Information (Attendees)
Keep your account profile current so you receive event communications, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance.
🧑🎓 This article is for attendees.
Your CEU Events attendee account stores the personal and professional information that powers your continuing education experience — from where event communications are sent to how credits are reported to your associations. This article walks you through how to update your profile and explains why keeping it current matters.
Why keep your profile up to date
An accurate profile isn't just paperwork — it directly affects how CEU Events works for you:
- Reliable event communications. Reminders, certificates, and registration confirmations all flow to the email and contact info on your account. Outdated info means missed messages.
- Accurate credit reporting. Your name, role, and professional credentials feed into how credits are reported to your associations and licensing boards. Keep them current to avoid matching errors.
- Smoother event registration. When you register for an event, your existing profile pre-populates the form — saving you time at every event.
- Audit-ready records. When it's time to demonstrate your CE compliance, your profile is the foundation of a complete record.
How to update your profile information
- Sign in to www.ceuevents.com with your attendee account.
- Click on your first name initial in the top-right corner.
- Click Update profile.
- Update or add the necessary information.
- Click Update to save your changes.
That's it — your profile is updated and the changes take effect immediately.
What about memberships and license numbers?
Memberships and license numbers live in a separate section of your profile because they require role-specific setup (the associations available depend on your profession). To add or update those, see Add or Update Your Memberships and License Numbers.
💡 Tip: Plan to review your full profile annually — both general information and memberships/licenses — so everything stays current as your role, location, or credentials evolve.
Best practices
- Use a professional email address. Many credit-reporting organizations match records by email. A consistent, professional email helps ensure accurate reporting over time.
- Update right after a change. Renewed a license? Changed jobs? Got a new email? Update your profile right away so future events and credits route correctly.
- Keep your contact info current. Email reminders, certificates, and other notifications all depend on your contact details being right.
- Review your full profile annually. Even if nothing has changed recently, a yearly review catches anything you might have forgotten.
Troubleshooting
- Your changes don't seem to be saving. Confirm you clicked Update after editing. If the issue persists, refresh the page, sign out, and try again. If still occurring, contact CEU Events support.
- You changed your email but aren't receiving emails at the new address. Check your spam folder. Some corporate or institutional email systems can delay or block automated emails. If messages aren't appearing within a few minutes, contact CEU Events support.
- You forgot your password and can't sign in to update your profile. Use the Forgot Password link on the sign-in page to reset it via email.
