Remove an Instructor
Permanently delete an instructor from your CEU Events account when they're no longer affiliated with your organization.

Removing an instructor from your CEU Events account may be necessary in certain situations, such as when an instructor is no longer affiliated with your organization. This article walks you through how to permanently delete an instructor and what to do if they have future events still on the schedule.
⚠️ Warning: Deleting an instructor is permanent and cannot be reversed. Historical data, past events, attendees, and other related information will be retained under your provider account for future support and audit purposes.
Before you begin
- You must be logged in with a provider account that has permission to manage instructors.
- Check whether the instructor has any future events scheduled. If they do, you'll need to reassign or cancel those events before the deletion can be completed.
- Confirm with your team that the instructor should be permanently removed — this action cannot be undone.
How to remove an instructor
- Log in to www.ceuevents.com using your provider account credentials.
- Click on the Instructors menu.
- Locate the instructor in the list and click the Edit button on their row.
- Scroll down and click Delete.
- A confirmation prompt will appear.
- Click Ok to confirm the deletion.
📝 Note: If the instructor has any future events scheduled, you will need to cancel those events or reassign them to a different instructor before the deletion can be completed. See the Troubleshooting section below for details.
What happens next
Once the deletion is confirmed, the instructor will be permanently removed from your account and will no longer appear in your Instructors menu. Their historical data — including past events, attendee records, and CEU credits — remains stored under your provider account for reporting, support, and audit purposes.
If the instructor was associated with multiple course providers on CEU Events, removing them from your account does not affect their relationship with other providers.
Troubleshooting
- You receive an error: "Unable to delete the instructor due to the instructor having future events scheduled. Please assign a different instructor to these events." This means the instructor still has upcoming events on the calendar. You have two options:
- Reassign the events to a different instructor. See Update the Instructor on the Event.
- Cancel or delete the events. See Cancel or Delete an Event.
- You deleted the wrong instructor. Unfortunately, this action cannot be reversed. You'll need to re-invite them as a new instructor. See Add an Instructor.
