Browse Courses and Upcoming Events on CEU Events

Four ways to discover continuing education on CEU Events — upcoming events, the full course library, by licensing board, or by provider.

🧑‍🎓 This article is for attendees.

CEU Events has a comprehensive library of continuing education courses recognized by over 100 state licensing boards and associations — plus a live calendar of upcoming events you can attend. This article walks you through the four primary ways to discover continuing education on the platform, depending on whether you're looking for something specific to attend soon or researching courses by topic, board, or provider.

1. Search for upcoming events

Visit the upcoming events page to see events you can attend in the near future. You can filter by:

  • Date range — narrow to events within your availability window.
  • Profession — show events relevant to your specific professional focus.
  • Type — toggle between webinars and in-person events.

Use this option when: You want to find something to attend soon, especially when you have specific credit needs and timing constraints.

2. Browse the full course library

Visit the public course library to see all courses CEU Events has reviewed and recognized. Each course is evaluated to determine its alignment with the requirements of various state licensing boards and associations, to the best of our knowledge.

Use this option when: You're researching courses on a specific subject or topic, regardless of which licensing board or association recognizes them.

3. Browse by state licensing board or association

Visit the state licensing boards and associations page and click on your specific board or association to see courses that have been pre-approved or recognized for credit.

Use this option when: You need to fulfill a specific licensing or membership requirement and want to ensure the courses you take are recognized by your governing board.

4. Browse by provider

Visit the providers page to browse courses offered by specific providers.

⚠️ Important: Courses listed on a provider's page may or may not meet your state licensing requirements. If you're looking for credit toward a specific license or membership, confirm the course's recognition through option 3 above or by reviewing the course details page.

Use this option when: You want to see everything from a particular provider, or you're researching which providers offer courses relevant to your work.

💡 Tip: If you've added your memberships and licenses to your account, you can also click any organization name in your profile to see courses and events that qualify for credit with that specific organization. See Add or Update Your Memberships and License Numbers.

After finding what you're looking for

Once you've found a course or event that interests you, a few next steps:

  • View course details. Click the course title to open its details page, where you'll see the description, learning objectives, credit value, and the organizations the course is recognized by.
  • Register for an upcoming event. If you found a specific event, register directly from its event page.
  • Request the course at your location. If you'd like to bring the course to your firm, showroom, or association, click Request a CEU Event at My Location on the course details page. See Request a CEU Event at Your Location for the full workflow.
Best practices
  • Start with upcoming events if you need credits soon. The upcoming events page is the most direct path to attending something in the near term — filter by your profession and timing to get a focused list.
  • Check the credit requirements before registering. Each course has its own list of recognized organizations. Make sure the course meets your specific licensing or association requirements before committing.
  • Read the course description and learning objectives. A course's content matters — a session that's perfect for one professional may not be the right fit for another. The details page tells you what you'll learn.
  • Update your credentials first. If you haven't yet added your memberships and licenses to your account, do so before browsing — many discovery features work better when CEU Events knows what credits you're trying to earn.

Troubleshooting

  • You can't find a course you know exists. Try all four discovery methods — sometimes a course is listed under a provider but not yet associated with a specific board, or the next event for that course hasn't been scheduled yet.
  • A course says it's recognized by your association but credit isn't reporting. Confirm your membership or license number is entered correctly in your profile. See Credit Reporting for AIA, IDCEC, and Other Associations.
  • Still having trouble? Contact CEU Events support and we'll help.
